I really like this kid. If we don't get Liggins, I hope we let him walk on and be our 3rd QB instead of getting other QB's we have on our board. Guys like this sometime turn out to be really good. He reminds me of Tim Rattay. Rattay wasn't recruited by anyone out of high school. He went a year to a JUCO and still no one recruited him but La. Tech. Then he ended up being a great college QB and spent 7 years in the NFL. Tim didn't have a great arm and was only about 6' tall but was a winner and vervy competitive. We need to get lucky one day and back into a QB like Tech did with him.

If you notice what kind of offense Williams plays in you will see why his stats are so high. He plays in a 4 and 5 wide spread offense. No read option in his video highlights. I like him as a walkon and I hope this is a sign that we are moving more toward becoming a passing threat in the SEC.

This recruiting season won't be used as the model for how to build a strong QB depth chart.
