Vann Stuedeman To Serve As ESPNU Guest Analyst This Weekend

  • Per MSU Media Relations

STARKVILLE, Miss. – ESPNU studios in Charlotte, N.C., will be wrapped
in maroon and white this weekend as Mississippi State Head Softball
Coach Vann Stuedeman serves as a guest analyst for the network’s
coverage of the NCAA Super Regionals. The winningest first-year coach in
school history will appear first at 1 p.m. CT Friday during ESPNU’s
coverage of game one between Arizona and Oklahoma, and will continue to
provide analysis from the Charlotte studios throughout the weekend.

With the network airing all eight Super Regional matchups, the MSU head
coach will serve up detailed analysis on all 16 teams, eight of which
she went head-to-head with in 2012. Having been to the Women’s College
World Series six times as an assistant coach, Stuedeman is no stranger
to success in the Super Regional format. Posting a .579 winning
percentage in her first season with the Bulldogs, the leader of the
Maroon and White hopes one day take Starkville’s Team to Oklahoma
City, Okla. History is on her side, as before this season, all three SEC
head softball coaches that posted a winning percentage of .575 or better
in their first year have gone on to play in at least four WCWS at ASA
    Hall of Fame Stadium.

For more information on Stuedeman and the MSU softball program, follow
the team on Twitter at @MStateSB as well as Facebook at
