Looks safe to me.
Yancy is like kudzu. You hate it, can't kill it, and is virtually worthless!

That crew needs to be kicked out of baseball. 4 blown calls in one weekend

It was obviously pretty close, but it is much easier to analyze these plays from by frame instead of live action like these umps are calling it in. I just can't get mad at an ump for missing a play that close

He was safe and, i'm sorry, it wasn't even close. My seats were looking straight up the 3B line, so I had a great view of this particular play. The pitcher did close fast and made it a little closer than I thought it was going to be, but Henderson's hand CLEARLY slide across the plate well before being tagged (on the BACK mind you).
AJ Lostaglio was ridiculous for both teams yesterday, including the way he reacted after Porter got hit on the hand. He immediately rushed to Porter to look at his hand, which mind you was in a batting glove, and dramatically awarded him first. I couldn't blame Henderson for being hot. Not saying it didn't hit Porter, b/c I believe it did, but Lostaglio acted crazy.
Hey, I'm just glad the Henderson play didn't cost us and we made it a laugher. Haven't had one of those in who knows.
I have been an umpire before, so I have pitty on them.
And herein lies the problem with still photography. What if the tag was applied just before this shot and the glove is now moving away from Henderson? Not saying it for certain, but it could be.
Sure refs blow calls, just like WR's drop very catchable passes, it happens. In baseball, particularly, I just ask that the ump is consistent - the plate doesn't get narrower or wider during the game.
I saw it in full speed and it looked pretty obvious to me that he tagged him in the small of his back and he his outstretched arms had touched/slid across the plate...
