"So why not just get rid of the football program..."
Well, if winning the SEC is the only reason for you to keep the program going, then yes- we should shut it down. We havent won the SEC in 72 years- and nobody outside of the Big 6 of the SEC has won it in the last 50 years. There's a reason for that and it's not likely to change.
".but up North they having 5 and 4 stars visiting daily...I think a small amount of us know where the problem is and it don't have jack shit to do with a stadium or history of a program..ask the whole Ole Miss class from last year..we are cheap..there I said it"
As I mentioned- Starkville is not set up for alot of excitement for recruiting visits. Hell, we wont even let NFL players into bars. Until some investment takes place into making a better party scene- we will continue to drag ass- college age kids want fun places to go and need choices of venues within walking distance.
I also mentioned about us not being "All-In". We're not. We're just a little bit "in". You get out of it what you put into it. OM coaches make sure their prominent alumni know who their top targets are. Ol Yancy makes alot of money being that guy. We on the other hand- try to keep things as covert as possible. There's your difference in approaches- and your difference in results.
