Don't feel sorry for him. I'm sure in his universe he feels personally responsible for Stan's leaving.

Rallying the fanbase or just annoying the hell out of it?

Where do you get that Keenum and Stricklin are responsible for Rick stepping down? Been on the phone with them have you? If you were at the press conference you would know that it was Stans decisioin, he could have continued coaching if he wanted to, but chose to do otherwise.

He has been on Stan's case for a longtime, nit picking, making light of any success sarcastically calling him "the recruiter" and on and on. What am I susposed to admit he was right about, all the coaches that he said were better than Stan's when they were hired and now long gone from the programs where they were hired because of losing records?

Stans lifted the expectations of worms like him to the point that they will never be happy until we win the NC, only one team wins that each year, every other one comes home losers. He can't respect the fact that Stans was the winniest coach we have ever had, or couldn't have possibly enjoyed the games we won, for trying to figure out what he could say to demean the coaching of the game.

I just hope I live long enough to see the Stansbury Banner raised in the Hump, as it certainly will someday.

Stansbury could have kept coaching, no doubt. But it was going to be under the stipulations set by the AD and President. He decided he didnt want to do that.

You may want to say he "resigned"- but anybody that actually "resigns"- doesnt get the rest of their contract when they are working that job anymore.
