My grandfather on my moms side is about to pass. He's 85, and his body is just tired and it is his time. He's a WWII Vet and a double-amputee (both legs). His inspiration led me to enlist. I'm doing ok, for now, but I'm concerned for my mom, naturally. I'll keep y'all posted...thanks!
It's OUR time and OUR State!
Absolutely, he and your family have my prayers. God bless him for his service to his country. He has earned the right to go home and rest.
Prayers sent brother.

I made it to the hospital and am here with him. He's in good spirits and we are enjoying him. The Pastor came by this morning and he told my mom & stepdad that he's made his Peace with God. I'm comfortable with that. Thanks for the prayers and encouragement.

Thoughts and prayers man, it's tough, I know.
Kacey, I know the feeling and also send my prayers for your family.
My Dad died at age 60 from end stage complications of a terrible disease he inherited and passed on to me and two of my brothers and my sister. He was a WWII Veteran, Korean War Vet, and Vietnam veteran. He was Wing Sergeant Major at Pope AFB, the airlift wing of the 82nd Airborne when he retired in 1968. He died in 1980. My sister died of this disease at age 50 in 2004. My brother, Jim Gray, has cancer of the pancreas and liver, and may pass soon. Both my brother, Les and I have tumors in our pancreas. We all have had multiple surgeries.
