The police just isnt up for doing much "investigating" these days. My friend had her Camaro stock wheels stolen over the Christmas holidays. She filed a report. 2 days later she found someone selling her wheels on Craigslist in the area. She called the police again and they said the officer in charge of your case if off for the holidays. Call back Tuesday. This was a Saturday. She has a friend call and act like he wants to buy the wheels and gets the contact info before the guy deletes the post or sells them. Calls back Tuesday and gives all the info to the police. Nothing is done. Thats just sorry as hell. If it had been a family member, we would have just went and got the wheels by ourselves.

I was just involved in a hit and run and all I have from the person is a fake phone number and a license plate. I told her I was about to call the police and file a report and she got in her car and drove off. Do anybody know of a way to look up her license plate. I gave the info to the police but he said he can't promise anything. Just curious and any help would be appreciated.
