All was well- we just fired Stansbury for the hell of it. He was well on his way to building a basketball Empire in his 15th season. Because we fired him, we will never have anymore success in basketball. Rick Stansbury is the only coach in the history of the world that can win at Mississippi State. And he is so good, nobody else even wants to come here and play now- we are going to have to use robots to play just to field a team.

Now that he is gone, we will go back to the days of single digit win seasons. We may as well just remodel the Hump into an extravagant indoor baseball practice facility.

stop. Just stop. The other people here are too nice to call you out- Stansbury was fired. Stricklin and Keenum just dressed it up nicely and let him go out with dignity for being a very good employee for our University for alot of years. He had a contract for 2 more years- so he was going to get alot of his money regardless after next season. And for his years of service we agreed to let him ride it out to retirement in a BS job.

Coastdog is telling it like it is. He is in a far better position to know what went on than you do. I cringed when I saw you say "we" agreed to let him ride out ....... In fact he has enough sick leave that he doesn't even have to show up but for a minimum of time for that as you say BS job. Which carries a hell of a lot more prestige than a rubber salesman and message board junkie.

And what does it matter how much sick leave Stansbury has? He doesnt have enough to get the 25 yr retirement yet- so he was in need of more time on the job.
