fairly interesting. i still dont like lemming but someone at least said what every thinks

Tom Lemming, who is the director of the recruiting for CBS Sports – recently ripped the other recruiting services around the country (Rivals, 247Sports, ESPN and Scout) for being too political. Check out what he had to say:

That article was as poorly written as I've seen though. Wow! It was difficult to follow the guy's train of thought.
Everyone knows the recruiting websites like Rivals and Scout are biased to the big schools who have the higher subscriptions. It's no secret how they work with the star ratings.

That's one reason I am really pumped about this year's class. I usually feel due to our lack of clout in the recruiting service world that our recruits consistently tend to be undervalued. That's why in my mind when when we are told what we finished ranked in recruiting I normally mentally add about 5 to 8 spots to that to get to what is likely closer to reality. So if we are consensus around number 25 this year I personally feel we have at minimum a solid Top 20 class which has me very optimistic for the future.

This summer I was shocked when Keith Neibuhr from Rivals admitted, while at the Big Dawg Camp, he hadn't been to MSU in 20 years! And he is one of the main 'evaluators'. So his perception of our program, facilities, etc... is from when Jackie just got the job. Maybe these guys don't get around to every school but 20 years? We're an SEC team and recruiting in the SEC is where the action is, and probably most of the subscribers too.
No suprise that Rivals is known for the 'Bama Bump' and the 'State Star Drop'.
(and yeah I know 247 was started by the old founder of Rivals, but 247 is better. Maybe they rely on local talent more not sure but they are better)
