I am all for it. Everybody here knows that Starkville has come a LONG way in the past 10 years or so but it still needs a little TLC. I'm not that crazy about the design itself but I think it will be a lot less gaudy when it's painted on the pavement.

On another note, I think this group of alderman have done an excellent job and shown great leadership in promoting growth in the city by passing form base codes and have worked extremely hard to find an option to improve the municipal facilities which are an absolute embarrassment currently(due to poor planning and leadership over the years). When I was in school at state my small hometown of less than 5,000 had far better infrastructure than Starkville. Starkville natives need to be a little more open minded to growth bc that is what held back Mississippi State and Starkville for so long. I think the culture is changing somewhat but still a long way to go. We're all on the same team people.

You're right and I don't think think there is any question they have played a huge role in the improvements of Starkville indirectly.
