no one would find this shocking if they had to ride a bus with coach nutter....
Doesn't sound good to actually hear it, but anyone who's ever played the game knows it happens.
Hell, Giant's players were openly bragging after NFC Championship game about targeting Kyle Williams in the head because of his history of concussions. One of them even said something to the effect that he hit him early in the game and thought he looked a little fuzzy when he got up.
All the fuss is supposed to be about players being incentivized to injure other players not about a crazy coach trying to pump his team up before a game.
