  • How sick was the shot Mickelson hit on 15 today?

  • That shot was amazing, the casual golf fan prob won't see how hard that shot was, that back nine was amazing in all, he did not miss an iron shot, and and left at least 2 more birdies a couple inches short in the heart of the cup.

  • The man shot a freaking 30 on the back 9. Unbelievable. I'm pulling for you Lefty. Do work today.

  • With Easter weekend activities, I haven't been able to watch much of it. Is Phil tearing up the field? I always liked him, but I was pulling for Fred Couples. Should be a great finish today.

DWD, I was with you when the day started yesterday. I loved seeing Freddy atop the leader board, and Phil was 3 or 4 shots back, but Freddy blew up on the front 9 and was +4 through the first 6 holes. Then came Phil, quiet on the front, and then boom! Lefty was in complete control of the ball, and was putting lights out. He has birdied 18 in all 3 rounds. He also high fived everybody between the 18th green and the scorekeeper's box, something Tiger failed to do.

You have to play golf to understand just how unbelievable that shot was. A flop shot from a tight lie, to a green that runs away from him, toward a water hazard, on Saturday of the biggest golf tournament in the world. It may not pass his shot from pine straw between trees to 13 a few years ago for his best shot ever, but its a lot closer than most people would think. Defintely took a lot of moxie to play that shot. While other players may have thought of playing that shot, not many would have the nerve to try it. Much less execute it to perfection. Thats Phil being Phil and the reason he is a fan favorite.

  • I was told on 6pack that the players refer to him as FIGJAM...........look it up

  • That shot was pretty good for sure...buuuutttt he was on an upslope an using a 64 degree wedge. It wasn't as hard as you may want to make it.

But then again I'm a golf dork and I hate Phil so there's that

  • It was sick. The lie, the slope and penalty for a miss.

He took a full swing on a greenside shot. Think about that.

If you haven't seen those greens and slopes in person, you don't understand.

TV doesn't do the difficulty justice.

Yes he was on an upslope using a 64, but dude that shot was as hard as we want to make it and then some. It would have been different if he were doing it on the greens of a typical tour course, but that particular shot had only about 1 or 2 foot of landing room to get the ball anywhere as close as he did. The only thing that would have been more impressive is if he would have pulled it off in a us open at oakmont.

  • I'm just saying that given the upslope and 64 degree wedge, I bet he hardly even had to open the face to hit that shot. You could give tiger, Phil, rory, Luke Donald, pretty much anyone of them that same shot 10 times and they will all hit it within 10 feet at least 8 times.

But looks like ol lefty is gonna need a few more of those today after that swing on #4. Good gosh he blocked it 50 yds left with a long iron. That's pretty not good

Look at it again, he opened up and took a full swing. It was unreal....You don't like the guy and that's fine, but to say it wasn't special is to show a total lack of understanding.

  • Who cares? Lefty is being Lefty again in another final round of a Major.
