True Maroon

I will not boo him. Although he ticked me off many times with his lack of hustle and off the field issues, he still wore the maroon and white. Time has a way of making you forget about some of that stuff and only remembering some of the better moments: Oklahoma St, Florida, A & M.

Everytime I think of this poor idiot I laugh. He had been at MSU for about 10 days when I met him. I asked him what his goals for football were. He responded in the best ebonics I had heard up to that point, 'I goin ta da leag." I almost pissed myself laughing. Most of the athletes in mississippi have NO clue what it takes to get to the NFL. I have never forgotten that nor will I ever. What an amuzing person ole Dontae is.

He was in a class that I TAed for while I was in grad school. He was a useless waste. That being said, I won't boo him. I'll just take a nice long drink when they announce him.

No Donte should not be boo'd. It's easy to remember the offense tackle version that walked off the field on Sr day, but he also had a lot of good moments in the maroon and white and helped us win a lot of football games early in his career. Also it probably would probably help him on a personal level in so many ways, and the guy needs all the support he can get. All of his mistakes in life were self inflicted, but I do salute him for trying to do right once he got out of the pen.
