Do you like Midas or Napa brakes? What size automobile are you driving? The stopping power is very key to brake size. Your are gonna need all the brake power you can get, because the wheels are about to come off the track this Saturday.
PS Nothing wrong with a little smack talk right? I love hearing it from fan bases and giving it back. Bravo to the dawg fans that have not went below the belt and gave a little good old fashioned smack talk.
If we lose I will come over here and personally give you kudos. No running and hiding here. I was a bama fan through the 3-5 wins seasons on probabtion and I will never run away from a beating.
I also live in Livingston, Al but commute to Meridian, Ms and manage Woodstock Furniture. If you come buy some furniture from me Ill give you a 15% discount =)

You got me good there, hehe. By golly that is that great South Alabama public school education there. Darn Mobile County schools and Bammer teachers.
Oh we'll I guess my future is crap.

Any of you guys/gals gonna be coming to the game Saturday?
Enjoyed that! Will revisit come Sunday morning to see the carnage no matter which side left it.
Another week and another one of these types of posts of over the top belief that Bama has shown weakness. I give you credit for loving your team, and this is a team to love, but I will take the time to properly counter every point made in this cry for hope.
*This Mississippi State team will be the most talented, balanced, hardest hitting, fastest, most experienced and motivated football team since that Auburn team Bama faced with Cam Newton. Bama has no clue what state of mind States team is in and has no idea what is going to hit them this Saturday.
-Yes, Auburn did come back and beat Bama...with only the best player in recent college football memory. I do not think State has anything close to Cam Newton. Every player worth a damn that has played for state the last 4 years has only scored 17 on Bama, in four years.
*Bama's players are looking at this game this weekend as simply a stepping stone to get where they already belong...this game this Saturday is a mere task for them...thats human nature to think that and you cannot fight human nature. Bama's players will not be mentally dialed in 100%...States players will be.
-If you can't fight human nature, then stop depending on it to help you win. There is more failed human nature in your article here, in trying to WILL your team to win, than Bama will have....trust me.
*Bama didnt beat Tennessee as much as Tennessee lost to Bama. Tennessee simply made too many mistakes, and when you make mistaks against Bama, they pounce.
-Ok, I expect a Pac-12 or Big-10 or even a Big-12 fan to rely on "too many mistakes" as an excuse, but not an SEC fan. Great defenses do just that....they make you make mistakes. Bama made several mistakes on kick coverage....did it matter?
*Bama has one bigtime player, Cooper, the wide receiver.
-You finally pickup on this later in the article by honestly talking about how great Yeldon and Lacy are. You are in for a rude awakening if you think Cooper is the only player on Bama's roster. Warmack will be the first Guard taken in next year's draft. CyKo, Yeldon, Coop, and potentially Milliner are almost guranteed first round selections. Milliner leads the nation in passes defended, AJ McCarron leads the nation in QB efficiency, and I bet Yeldon and Lacy both are near the top of the nation in YPC. Our offensive line already has an Outland Trophy winner, and our LBs are nothing to scoff at. I doubt MSU has EVER had a linebacker as versatile and talented as CJ Mosely.
* If Banks is 100% this Saturday, Banks will take away the freshmans confidence and he will start making mistakes, even may start resorting to offensive pass interference to get separation from Banks to make catches. Banks will bait Cooper and McCarron into thinking Cooper is open...then Banks will pounce on the chance to make a pic or lay Cooper out on the tarmac.
-Bait McCarron and Coop all you want. McCarron has now gone ~250 attempts without an INT. And he has thrown to 15 players this year alone (with 12 of them having multiple receptions). Also, if you are covering Coop with Banks (who is one hell of a DB), and you are spying a safety over the top on Coop as well, then Bama will put up more yards than you can imagine on you because Michael Williams, Kenny Bell, TJ Yeldon and Christion Jones will have a field day with whichever one has an LB on them.
*McCarron is not an athletic quarterback at all. He passes great when his 350 lb offensive linemen give him all day to pass without taking hits, but when State blitzes over and over and start knocking McCarron to the ground you will see a quarterback lose his confidence and starting to make bad decisions...and when that happens he will start throwing pics.
-In debate training, this is called a Disco. Take a step back and make an admission about your opponent (in this case big, solid OLine) in order to try to make a better point from your perspective with two steps forward (AJ not athletic and your blitz packages). In games up to this point I have seen AJ scramble well when he has to, I have seen blitz after blitz get picked up by our OLine and RBs, and I have seen our OLine take control of games giving AJ time to get a pedicure in the backfield.
*But State has seen this before, and with 8 in the box and man coverage on the edge, Bama's running backs are going to catch hell trying to make runs against State.
-8 in the box has not been enough from other teams all season....try 9 in the box, and we will see what you got.
*Bama's linebackers are big and not fast enough or agile enough to keep up with Bumphis, Jameon Lewis, M. Johnson or Marcus Green.
-You will not find a finer cover LB in college football, and you will struggle to find a better one in the NFL, than CJ Mosely. Go back to that Bama/UT game you watched 3 times and see him look off the RB who went the wrong way, make a break on the Tyler Bray pass and make the INT. Also, in general, if you are going to slight an area of Bama's team, then LB would be about the worst place to slight. Go back and look at the pedigree of every LB Bama plays. Our second team LB corps is probably the #2 corps of SEC LBs behind our first team.
*Bama's offense is not unique or necessarily potent. They line up against you and try to overpower you. They cannot do that against State. When they need passes Bama's O Line gives McCarron all the time he needs to throw the ball to Cooper for the big play. States blitz packages and db coverage of the receivers will not give McCarron clear targets, that means mistakes. Bama's team is opportunitic, you make a mistake, they capitalize
-Being more physical than Bama is the ONLY chance State has to beat Bama. It has been a while since a team was more physical than Alabama, so I wouldn't bet on it happening with State. That being said, this is the best point your rant makes....I don't think it will be a successful point, but it has promise.
*State can take the top off of Bama's defense with our deep passing threat, that will keep Bama's safeties honest, but exposes Bama to Ladarius Perkins draw and counter plays. State will control the clock and sustain long drives and keep Bama's offense off the field and render Bama unable to get into rhythm...that will result in Bama's offense pressing and taking chances when they do hit the field...and our secondary will make Bama pay.
-Oh my...we have made deep passing threat teams look pretty mediochre this year, and honestly, we have profited from many turnovers in that regard. As for running teams, well, I think our stats speak for themselves there. 58 YPG allowed on the ground, and the number 1 defense in every major category.
*In summary, why will we beat Bama? Cuz they have NO IDEA what is about to him them this Saturday.
-I guess you have not watched too many Saban press conferences. Bama doesn't look ahead. We had a whole season of it in 2010 to learn from.
*How will we beat Bama? By exposing their weaknesses, taking control of the game, keeping their offense off the field, and neutralizing their one deep threat in Amari Cooper...and by turning Bama's fans against their own team.
-Keep our offense off the field...you mean the one that "really isn't that potent". I would love for "really not that potent" offenses to stay on the field against Bama...the more offensive snaps a team has, the more chance for an INT or fumble. The problem is that teams have HORRIBLE 3rd and 4th down conversion rates against Bama. I hope, for your sake, that Mullen and company are not as blind as to see Bama's offense as one player...but if they are, it will be a long, tough bus ride home for your team.

Bama fans are so SPOILED
Guys, lets just forfeit the game, hell the Falcons can't even beat bama.
But in closing, I don't expect us to win, but it would be nice. Very Nice
Cmon now... dont go that far.. Falcons would own us.. Ill admit that =)
"Mr. Marooniac, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I've ever read. At no point in your rambling, incoherent post was there anything that could even be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having read it. I award you no up-votes, and may God have mercy on your soul!"

I love that the Bama fans are allowed to post here but we can't post on their board. Paul, until the guys running the Bama site allow us to post I say you block all of these guys from doing the same
Living in fear is just another way of dying before your time
You can post on their VIP room (beta) forum on Bama's 247site. But no way would I have time to block all these guys, lol. I understand your concern but that would take forever.
All I know is the board I went to the reply button was greyed out. Is that a premium board and if so how was I a le to read their post and not reply? I'm guessing they just blocked all Mississippi state members from posting with one click. I definitely don't want them blocked but think it is bs we can't post there
Just a step below Alabama on those catagories. The biggest difference is Alabama has like 3 million more people. You beating your chest on this is like saying your the brightest kid on the short bus. Glad to see the Alabama fans have learn a little humility during those "down years." Is it any wonder that NASCAR's biggest popularity movement happened during the start of those down years and ended when Saben showed up.
Not sure but I called and asked and they said its just that one forum that is for Bama members only. The VIP room (beta) is for other SEC member fans to post in. They have three different forums there due to their size in membership.
The VIP room as a whopping 45 posts. No thanks. Hell make this board for Msu members only this week
I bet it is hard to get so many big heads in one forum.
If Msu can keep it close i think they can pull it out! They cant turn the ball over and must play error free football. The only thing im concerned with is our run defense and our kicking game. Im going to be very honest, our kicker scares me. I really hope it doesnt come down to us having to try a last second fg. I would be very surprised if this game is a blowout. I fully expect Msu to compete and give Bama a good game
I once watched Bama lose to a Sylvester Croom coached MSU team, so anything can happen.
Just wondering about all the stuff in the OP's rundown.
If MSU can do all those things against the best team in the country, why couldn't they do them to Troy or Tennessee?
Don't get me wrong, MSU is much improved. And the best team on our schedule to date. But I've never seen someone marginalize a team that's dominated college football so much as I saw in the original post.
Bless his heart....
Were you looking for us to kiss your butt? This is our team and we are damn proud of it. Are we at the level, talent wise? No. Is there a chance we can pull it off? Absolutely. I don't expect our players to bow down, so don't come over expecting us to.
