Hey ya'll, looking forward to the game this weekend. It's shaping up to be a great match-up. I think Chad Bumphis is legit, and have been keeping up with him since he was a high school senior. Mullen has done some wonderful things for the State program. Anyways, here's to an injury-free and exciting game!
Butch Jones. Who???
glad y'all are wearing white, cuz i can't stand the home uniforms... *ugh!*
haha only the Volunteer faithful can
It's going to be a great atmosphere for college football. DWS has been electric ever since Dan came on the scene.
For sure. I wish I could make it down, but my schedule just won't work out. Feel free to drop by the Checkerboard if ya'll wanna get perspective of the game from the Tennessee fans. Most really respect the team we will be going up against and believe the key match-up will be the WR and TE of Tennessee vs. the LBs and DBs of State.
We are Vol fans coming in from St. Louis. I have friends/family there in Starkville (State grads). Looking forward to this weekend! We came down for the Egg Bowl last year and Super Bulldog Weekend earlier this year.
I want the Vols to win because Dooley quite frankly needs it, but an undefeated State going against Alabama in a few weeks would be a fun game to watch as well!
We are leaving Friday morning. Can't wait! They haven't seen our newborn yet!
you know, I always wondered why Tennessee hired the son of a rival's legendary head coach..
I think the key will be how much pressure we can put on bray. His mistakes or lack will be the difference in the game.
I'd agree with that.
Bray has the tendency to chuck it blindly when pressed. He's got a good fastball, but he needs to know when it's a good idea to throw it and when he should just hold on to it.
I think we match up well with UT. Their strengths on offense play into our strengths on defense. They have a great young QB and great young WRs. We have a very good defense, especially in the secondary. I think the key will be answered by which team can put the most pressure on the other team's QB. Both offensive lines will be the key.

I've been thinking the same thing. We've been very good about not allowing sacks....or many of them. If we can slow down the rush we've got a good chance to complete a lot of passes. What we seem to have trouble with is the delayed blitz up the middle. I'm not sure we've stopped that too often.
