Denzel accepts a scholarship offer at Ole Miss in 2011. He also received an offer from UGA (in his home state). Keep in mind, UM just came off a pathetic 2-11 season. UGA had a 10-2 season with a loss in Atlanta to LSU. UGA would have been closer in proximity to the stellar father, Sunday, had Denzel and Sunday himself really cared enough about being close to each other as a family. Denzel's younger brother, Robert, had already been identified as a top recruit in HS and potentially the #1 recruit in the nation.
Sunday Nkemdiche does not have legal custody of Robert. He has not lived with Robert in over two years, either. The mother rarely ever sees any of them because she is a politician in their home country of Nigeria. Did you know there was a third son? Ever hear anything about him? I haven't. Does he live in GA? What about Sunday leaving his other son to come to MS? Hell, does he even live in America?
Some will say I am reaching here, but it is a plausible assumption to think that OM strictly offered Denzel to bring his brother, Robert, to Ole Miss. I'm sure some money switched hands as I know of several others in that class that received impermissible benefits. My question is this, if Sunday cared so much about being close to his family- he sure as hell does not show it by not retaining legal custody of Robert. Also, Denzel lived with Schuesslers before he left for Oxford. Sounds like Sunday could careless and is only in this thing for himself. If Ole Miss fans would be objective, they would see the same thing.
To me, this is a perfect example of Ole Miss buying who they want. They won't walk away from this clean- not this time.
What pisses me off is using tax money. If tire man wants to give him a job then that's his deal but don't use the tax payer money funding your cheating in recruiting
As you have pointed out this is a bunch of camel dung. We profit from ignoring and concentrating on our strengths. What's that story about the Spaniard chasing the fountain of youth? I think OM will drive themselves into the ground trying to recreate that mythical moment of when they thought they were great, ironically before integration.
Let them ride this pony into sunset and off into obscurity.
They have opened a whole new can of worms with this...
Peyote this time?
Which part is "camel dung"? I'm not sure if I understand your post. Everything I posted is fact. The only reach was saying OM paid Denzel to come play, which I do not know for sure. I assume they did considering the others I know that were put on a payroll. The Rebels will do anything to win in February.
Please, enlighten me.
To clear up any misunderstanding and to answer your questions...
I know it's not much of a difference but Ole Miss was coming off a 4-8 season and UGA was coming off of a 6-7 season (hard to believe)
He went to Georgia because they made it clear they only wanted him to get Robert and Ole Miss wanted him to play and to get Robert. It's not a surprise that Denzel is probably defensive freshman of the year in the SEC
Sunday and Beverly are rich.. why would they accept payoffs? Sunday works at a job where he couldn't be around the house much and his mother in Nigeria... of course leaving them with a legal guardian is the best choice.
Yes we know about the third son and also the daughter, did you know about her?
and whoever the guy who brought this story back up
1.) Sunday applied for the job and is overqualified for the position if the story is true, and that's what is in the fine print
2.) The NCAA has already looked in to this MONTHS ago and dismissed it
3.) You guys need to worry about some commits of your own.... I won't say who
4.) the only confirmation was from Matt Wyatt, host of head to head former MSU qb known for being a joker.. and we believe this?
5.) lol @ Yancy Porter and his Will Redmond report
Yes, we already know y'all are flipping Chris Jones
I was wrong on the records for Denzel's incoming freshman year. My fault. But that makes no excuse for what has happened.
Rich? Jesus, if I were rich, I would just hire Robert a damn nanny if he needed a babysitter. Why in the world would you GIVE UP LEGAL GUARDIANSHIP?
1) How is he overqualified? He isnt even licensed. What unlicensed physician can't be home enough for the kids? What mother would abandon her children during their most important development years as a young adult?
2) The NCAA has not looked into this, please provide your documentation. There isn't any- yet.
3) Chris Jones is fine. How many decommits have you had this year alone? Ill answer for you- 7.
4) Lastly, why was Sunday Nkemdiche applying for a job at UMC that was not even funded by the "supposed" grant they "eventually" did not receive. Dr Summers himself said the grant was not received. I have had many business transactions with UMC over the last several years and there is one thing I can tell you that is a fact. They will not spend money or hire the help unless the money is already in place. That institute is millions of dollars in the hole right now and frivolous spending is simply not something they can afford.
This hole story stinks like PBear's "camel dung". Don't get too comfortable on it, not yet.
I appreciate your hate. It is strong with you. You have clearly thought very deeply about this, But how can there be an issue if he didn't get the job. Even if every nefarious thing you dream of is true it is only questionable if he was in fact hired. Then the question would be: was he qualified or was this about his son. Without the job nobody gives a shit. There is no story here. Good luck with your coaching hires.
Your tears are delicious.
New over here but Denzel is a fresh all american. OM got a good player who has proven his worth for an sec scholarship. GA offered late and signed too many last year I think.
Why do the tax dollars bother you?
It is not your money per CNN.
