coach Mullen was but no assistant coaches came postgame.
Paul do you know if the post game interview with Mullen will be made available to us fans and supporters?
Can you shed some light on what Mullen said in the interview?
I mean...I am just dumbfounded by this game. How in the hell could the team that we saw the last 9 games (pre-Bama games) come out and play like this at home?
I know I have upset many folks by this post, but I have what I think are legitimate questions like:
Ok, you say we just didnt execute. Ok, why didnt we execute Coach Mullen? Do you know why? If we did execute your plan correctly would we have had a chance? You have also said you had players in bad fits...ok...why? Why did you and your staff have players in bad fits? LSU didnt have their players in bad fits after halftime, neither did Florida. You saw film of those games...so why didnt you have our players in the right fits?
Ok, you say we tackled poorly....ok...why? Bama doesnt tackle poorly for an entire game. tsun doesnt tackle poorly for an entire game. LSU doesnt tackle poorly for an entire game...so why did our team tackle poorly for an entire game? Do you even know why? You said you would get that fixed which implies you must know why they were tackling poorly, well...in that case if you knew why....then why didnt you get that stuff fixed while the game was still being played?
You say the coaches must do a better job of coaching. Ok, but you've said that before most recently after the Troy game this year and the Arkansas game last year...so have you started coaching better or not?
I know you guys are giving thumbs down for this thread..but these questions simply perplex me and I want some answers. ESPN was laughing at State on national television and one announcer said he knew all along State was basically a paper tiger this year. I dont like being referred to like that. And if and when our coaches can get their heads and hands around the issues that struck this team last Saturday hopefully we will never see a game played like that again.
As usual I ran a story with Mullen right after the game and posted the story here.
I read this article Paul and its a really good read. The most important sentence in the article in my view is your second sentence:
"But finding and point of why the Bulldogs failed on both sides of the ball wasnt as easy to explain."
That sentence is what concerns me. How do you fix something if you dont know why it happened?
