of the end?
I dont know about you...but I still have not seen any post TAMU game interviews with Dan Mullen and/or his coaching staff. I have seen a post game players interview where all those guys did was regurgitate the program talking points of "we just didnt execute".
I dont know about you...but I still have not heard the live radio version of the TAMU game, the radio version of course having much opinion content and interviews with the coaching staff within minutes of the games end. The radio version usually is avaible on the official athletic site within minutes or just a few hours after the game....but this time its been almost two days....and nothing.
Now...in contrast, when we beat Tennessee there were post game interviews with Mullen within MINUTES of that game. The radio show was on the MSU official athletic site within just a few hours....but NONE OF THAT information is available over a day and a half later after the TAMU debacle. And yes, it wasnt a loss...this was a debacle.
More importantly when I did finally get to see the Dan Mullen show (also released several hours after normal release on the official athletic site) I saw a Dan Mullen in rare form. I saw a Dan Mullen who was visibly shaken...not himself...and whose body language, mannerisms and voice conveyed doubt, insecurity, and yes I dare say....weakness. Dan Mullen has sold State fans and had them buy into his program, his beliefs, his philosophy, his winning attitude. But what happened Saturday is that everything Dan Mullen has preached and projected for 3.5 years was basically discredited and dismantled by a first year head coach in Kevin Sumlin and by a red shirt freshman and first year starter in Johnny Football.
I saw a Dan Mullen that apparently must have got an earfull from Scott Strickland (probably saying..”WHAT IN THE HELL WAS THAT??”), Dr. Keenum, high school coaches where States 2013 commitments are playing, and may for the first time be faced with a pissed off fan base that will end that record of successful sellouts at Davis Wade Stadium after witnessing an inexcusable display of pathetic football play four years into Dan Mullens program.
Now, maybe I am over reacting, maybe some of you guys have seen Mullens postgame interviews, maybe you guys do have access to the audio version of the game coverage that includes opinions from those covering the game. But today is Monday November 5, 2012 and none of that coverage is on States official athletic site yet.
And I don’t think that’s by accident. If Dan Mullen is dodging reporters for postgame interviews this could be a sign of the beginning of the end of his honeymoon with State.
You are not overreacting! Been wondering the same thing. +1.
" A Vasectomy means never having to tell her your sorry "
Dan Mullen didnt dodge anyone Sat. He was there and actually a bit earlier than normal for the post-game press conference.

Mullen's body language was defensive (Shoulder hunched forward). His talk was short (He wanted to get to the film room and work out the frustration). He rounded up the team afterwards and didn't let them sing the alma matter (getting back to business). A person tweeted they saw Dan Mullen fly by their tailgate on a golf cart and looked like he was on a mission.
I think what we saw was a Dan Mullen who knew he was about to make hard decisions and wanted to go find out what those decisions needed to be to move this team forward. Personally, Dan Mullen knew it would be a challenge taking this team and I think it fits his personality. I think Dan Mullen enjoys the challenges of coaching Miss St instead of going to a team that guarantee win-outs. You won't need to worry about him leaving until we win a national championship(fingers crossed).

Dan needed to be humbled a bit. I know that he is extremely football savvy, and he has a lot of grit about him, but we have been exposed. It doesnt mean that we cant fix the problems(at this point, I would say patching the problem is all we can expect) but this off season he needs to evaluate his coaching staff.
Les does what Dan wants. That is a fact. It wont do any good to replace our OC if Dan isnt going to delegate much more responsibility to a new OC.

LORD HAVE MERCY. One bad game and an embarrassed coach automatically means he is leaving.
Our fans are so STUPID.
I appreciate all the varying opinions that shed light on such diversity in views. That perspective helps us all.
I wrote this post while I was mad....mad as hell...which I probably shouldnt have done. But quite frankly, I am still mad as hell about what I saw on the field against TAMU and I am still mad as hell that I have heard no satisfactory explanation other than "we just didnt execute".
Because I just dont believe that is the only problem or reason why we were mauled by TAMU and had no chance at stoppign them at all.
And....unless and until I see a post game interview with Dan Mullen about this game I am still going to be mad and suspicous as to why none of those interviews (if they exist) have not been made to us as fans. We fans deserve an explanation.
So...if anyone of you can send me a link to a post TAMU game interview with Dan Mullen and/or his assistant coaches I would really appreciate that.
I was mad as hell when I wrote this post, and Im still mad as hell. Not because we lost the game but because we were never in that game.....we were whipped like a hog on a hog farm by a team with a brand new coach, a team with a brand system, a team with a brand new quarterback, a team who was visiting our house for the very first tme.
And if that doesnt make you mad as hell....then maybe its not me who has the problem.
Kevin Sumlin was head coach at Houston and had beaten MSU with less before. I won't argue that that MSU team in 09 played better football than this one in 12 versus him though.
This is Our State! This is Our Trophy!
I have never seen the following by a single poster in 2 weeks time...
a "drinking kool-aide with maroon shades" post (before Bama game) get so many up-votes only to get the same # of down-votes for a "woe is us" post (after the aTm game).
I would be willing to bet that the majority of the votes are from the same posters...

So, no one has any kind of an answer as to why there are no post TAMU interviews by the coaches or the assistant coaches, it seems all you have to offer up are personal attacks on the poster.
First, I appreciate your passion. Maybe it is just me and I am not looking for them but I don't really remember seeing where CDM sat down after other games, other than the required media interviews, and discussed a just finished game. He usually sends assistant coaches to do the radio interviews because of other obligations. Like I say, maybe I just don't notice them but I don't remember a lot of CDM interviews since the season started.
Rogdog, thanks for your input.
Dan Mullen conducted postgame press conferences after the following games:
1. Jackson State
3. South Alabama
5. Middle Tennessee
Mullen did not do post game press conference after Troy, Kentucky, Bama, and TAMU. Now, its kinda normal that Mullen does not do post game press conferences on away games, thats been his pattern since he's been at State....but he almost ALWAYS does a post game press conference after home games.
Except for this TAMU game.
Now, I believe somewhere in this thread Paul said Dan Mullen actually came and spoke to reporters sooner after the game than he normally does....but that interview or press conference is not available to us fans anywhere that I can find.
Why is that?
paul said that they were actually quick to be there for interviews. faster than normal even
