As everyone knows I was very critical of Ray a few weeks ago so I must post this. Coach Ray won me over Saturday. He asked fans to show up and he delivered. I didn't go but I watched it on tv with a friend and his dad. We had cowbells in hands and MSU gear on. That win Saturday felt good. It was good for the fans but most importantly it was good for the players and they deserve it. Coach Ray is a leader of men. When he get some players we'll be right back in the NCAAT in no time.

I applaud your feelings, and I have eaten crow on TOB big time. However, regardless of the # of schollie players, the X's and O's are still missing for me until I can see RR design a couple of simple plays to inbound the ball from under the opposing basket. We were within a whisker in the last minute of throwing the OM game away. If the SCUMbags could have made a shot, we would have lost because of it.
I've seen us run nice plays out of TO's several times this year, but NONE were inbounds plays from under the goal. We have lost at least 2-3 games this year due to lack of successfully inbounding that play. I could also mention bringing the ball up against the press, but the lack of a PG is the biggest reason there IMO. But trying to dribble vs passing.........X's and O's.
One reason we struggle against the press is we don't have enough players to practice breaking the press. Even if we throw some coaches out there, it's a huge difference between breaking the press against walk ons and coaches to breaking the press against SEC athletes.
Most of the plays you mention happened right in front of me. the problem was not the lack of a play as you say it was the pass was not made when the play broke open, the inbounding player held the ball the extra fraction of a second past when he should have passed it. These hesitations from inexperience have caused numerous turnovers throughout the year. They had the plays, you just failed to see them.
Excellent point....Post more.....
