What are your interests? If you want to do the have a beer or two and listen to live music, I'd go with:
Todd Sansom, The Stage, Friday night 10:30
Chris Weaver Band, Tin Roof, Saturday 10:30
Chris Weaver Band, The Stage, Sunday 10:30
The Opry is always a cool experience on a Saturday night.
Find where cigars and cataract's is playing and go see them, great little band.
If you like sushi go to Virago. It is just off Broadway near downtown. Excellent sushi and the best bread pudding in the known universe.
The new Johnny Cash museum is worth checking out.
Ceterum censeo Universitatem Mississippiae esse delendam.
If you play guitar check out Artisan Guitars in Franklin. They only sell high end acoustics (Collings, Sante Fe, Bourgeois) and retro acoustics (Martins, Taylors). There probably isn't a guitar in there less than $4K and some are as high as $12K, but the people are awesome and they'll let you play anything you want to pick up.
If you like Bluegrass, check out the Station Inn on 12th. The Music City Center is now open, and that's pretty impressive. The Renaissance Festival is going on too.
Drink and roam!
Go to ML Rose for brunch and order the breakfast burger.
Go to Radnor Lake and walk the Otter Creek Rd. / Lake Trail loop. If your fit, climb Ganier Ridge.
Go to Southern Oyster House or whatever it's called down near the Symphony Center. I haven't been yet but I've heard great things from food snobs I trust.
Station Inn is great. 3rd & Lindsey is on par w/ it.
If you are mobile and like to walk then park for free at Titan's stadium and use the pedestrian bridge to roam downtown.
breakfast at Loveless cafe
Thanks guys! Good stuff TnDawg, I'll be going to the symphony center Saturday night to check out Cirque Musica. So I'll keep that oyster house in mind. Also I was wondering bout parking so that's cool to know! Artisan guitars sound really cool!
