By all accounts, Shump is a better RB than Kailo, but Kailo had burner speed.
One thing every Mullen team had lacked is a game changer on offense. A guy who is a threat for a score or have a big play at any given time.
Who among our current recruits or redshirts is that guy? I'll hang up and listen.

Screw that. Give me the physical back. Hes the game changer
We have a gamechanger speedwise with perk. We miss AD, ballard, etc
Our line can always be better but we will never be OL university. We beed a guy that can get through the first tackle. Ballard excelled at shirking the first guy in the backfield and is doing that in indy as well.
You want a gamechanger? The back that grinds out 140 is a gamechanger. Give me shump

I tend to agree. Speed is necessary, but give me a couple of guys that are going to punish and wear down a defense. Can you imagine Dak and Shump running the option in a couple of years.
Agree. I don't even read 40 times. I could care less. I want a Dicon, Ballard, etc.... That's what MSU needs to be successful.
I think we are just talking semantics I look at a game breaker as someone who you absolutely have to watch every play of the game because the potential is there where they can turn anything into a touchdown. I think that "game breaker" player is a lot more important as a WR than a RB. Id much rather have a bruiser dixon-ballard type RB that can control the tempo and eventually in the span of 20-30 carries take over a game and a WR that can stretch the field and is fast enough to make players miss that might be a TD any time he gets the ball thrown to him.
As far as blow you away speed and RB id much rather have a kid grind it out play after play than a Lewis type kid who with 20 carries a game I guarantee will take it to the house at least once but would also probably have 1-2 fumbles and a 5-10 negative or no gain yards carries
