This is my last post on Jones, but I've gone back and forth with Corey Dowlar and Kipp Adams from ESPN on Twitter and they insist that Jones has been to Oxford again yesterday on a secret visit. They have sources that they won't reveal, but those have to be from inside the coaching staff. They are rock solid on this report, these aren't some Ole Miss fanboys pulling our chains.
I am down to this conclusion- Jones is either now a Rebel and we're dealing with a "Bob Sugar" moment or the OM coaching staff is the slimiest we've ever seen at TSUN and they'll do anything to disrupt our recruiting class, including lying to ESPN. I honestly don't know which one it is. I guess we'll find out on Wednesday.
Not really worrying, just laying out a case that Jones has either decommitted and doesn't want to say it to Coach Mullen or the OM coaches are working overtime to disrupt our class by lying to the media. There is no question that ESPN knows our school, knows who Chris Jones is and that they're chasing a story here that would be huge. If Jones goes to OM, they'll have one of the top classes in the country for sure.
As an aside, why anyone would vote this story down is beyond me. I am sharing facts about ESPN's reporting that they confirmed directly with me on Twitter. Last time I checked, they were the biggest sports news organization on the planet. ;)
Exactly. My money says that Jones has flipped at this point, no other explanation would really make sense to me. I wish it wasn't so but I'm starting to think it is. Turns my stomach to think that TSUN will have the top recruiting class in the nation, let's hope LSU picks up Robert Nkemdiche. That will at least make it a little easier to stomach. I'm a lifelong State fan so it isn't fun for me to speculate on this topic, I just think that too many people are counting on Paul's insights and aren't seeing the bigger picture.
You guys make sure to click on that Bob Sugar link I posted, it's a form of therapy. You have to find the humor in this situation at least, regardless of how it turns out it's been a wild ride.

Get what crap out of here? The thought that we could lose the commit because he's visiting our top rival? The fact that national media outlets are reporting that he's secretly visited the school twice in 3 days?
Sorry man, but you need to get out of here and get your head out of the sand. This is about what's really happening, not your hopeful interpretations of Paul's reports that made it totally clear that the kid is on the fence still. "I'm with Mississippi State and that's the way it is baby" doesn't make sense if you're making secret visits to the rival school. :)
Questioning whether or not we're going to land our top recruit doesn't make me a Rebel, it makes me a concerned State fan that's watching a strong recruit slip away quite literally to Oxford in the middle of the night. Hoping that doesn't happen.
