Do any of you guys have any idea where Darius slay is projected to be drafted? I'm curious because he graduated from the same high school as me and I am good friends with his younger brother. TIA guys
Why So Serious?
I've seen a couple of early mock drafts that had him in the 6th round area. Since that time he has gotten an invite to the Senior Bowl and several scouts are said to be impressed. If I had to guess, I'd say late fourth early fifth.
Prowling The Night
I don't know where he is expected to go, but there has been mention of him "flying up the charts" and scouts really liking him. Scouts wanted to see him at the senior bowl. I don't know if that helps at all.
Thanks guys, I hope you're right, kid has mad talent. If he really is that late of a pick, whoever picks him, will get a steal.
He should run very well at the combine and he's a big corner. He should go somewhere in the 3rd-4th round range.
The good thing for him is that Good DBs are going for a premium lately and he will impress at the combines. He is at minimum a second round talent but he may have to prove that on the field next year and just accept a 4th round pick. In my opinion he is just as good of a CB as banks but with much less film.
Totally agree. Kid is a STUD.
Saw something on Twitter earlier that said most draft boards have him in the top 7 for CBs. That probably puts him no worse than 4th rd. I think when he measures 6-1 and runs a sub 4.40 40 at the combine he will shoot up the boards and get picked by the end of the second.
If Slay was here for 4 years he would be a first round pick. As good as he was he only got a limited time to learn and adjust to our defense. He will be a starter on someone's team in the NFL soon. He is just good and one of the better CBs that ever played at MSU.
Would like to see him in New England next year.
It's OUR time and OUR State!
Yea when he's with the Cowboys in New York picking off Eli
Even though banks is the household name around these parts, I personally like slay better!! As a true CB!
I can agree with that....Banks stock has always been he can play all 4 DB spots....that said I think he will be a all pro FS.
Slay is a true CB.
I think he may sneak to late 2nd. Likely 3rd
