C-Mitch doing well so far at the Combine

4.56 unofficial 40 which is in the top half of Safeties, 19 reps on the Bench which is tied for 7th among Safeties, and, most impressively, somewhere around an 11" broad jump although the official results haven't been posted yet.

Haha. Yea suppose to be 11'. The official number ended up being 127" which is 1" short of the leader among safeties. I saw a reputable site last night list someones vertical jump as 37 yards.

not a bad 40 # at all...he had helped himself out today that's for sure as far as being drafted at some point.

I still don't think he'll get drafted b/c I don't think the scouts are going to drool over the game film, but showing good measurables means he'll hopefully have a good choice of FA offers and can find a spot that he has the best chance of making a team.
You never know how he might look in a different scheme

He did get a 6rd grade tho....a player getting drafted that late is getting drafted fo play SP teams...

I would play special teams in the NFL for 300K a year.
I think Dixon is getting 450K a year to play special teams and be a 3rd string RB. Not too bad.

Thats WAY more than I will ever make, but is that a decent salary after all his financial obligations are met? I mean agent salary, health insurance, etc? May be a stupid question but would be good to know.

Agent gets 10% and if he's on the team they pay health insurance, he should bring home over 100k after taxes and money is sent out, so he'll be ahead of most kids coming out of college, but he won't be rich or anything.

We will say 5%. That's 15,000 to agent.
285,00 left. He would pay around 78,947 in federal tax. Not sure about State.
