Has anyone sat in on a lot of our BP? Was wondering if Cohen lets his guys swing freely or what? I know it's a strange question, but our team struggles with hitting and wondered if Cohens BP is typical or does he focus on situational hitting more?

I watched some BP before a couple of of the AL games. For whatever reason, we didn't hit for much distance and often didn't hit the ball squarely compared to how AL was doing in their BP. The reason for the difference may be as simple as that we are a little closer to the plate, relative to AL. AL, of course, isn't much of a hitting team either. But for sure in the BP before the MSU/AL games, AL was putting a little more whack into the ball. Maybe we just need more BP for the whole team. Also, the cascade of injuries have made hard to get into a seasonal rhythm for several potentially excellent hitters. Next year, this may well not be a problem.
