    Seems to be the theme with most Ole Piss fans. Keep looking for him to leave and never give up hope there Irish Reb. Just wonder how many years it will take to see that he might actually stay so that your fan base can move on to the next gleam of hope. If Mullen does leave he will at least leave the program in better shape and more desireable for the next good coach.

    Yeah ole miss is a real destination job. The only reason mutt isn't going anywhere is because you can't afford to fire him and he hasn't found someone else to take him yet

    If we suck so bad why does it matter to you whether Mullen stays or not? Your statement just goes to show that you hope like hell he leaves OUR STATE.

  • Most rebs are too stupid to even understand the fact that Mullen is not the reason for our success. He's a big part of it, but it starts at the top. We fired LT, the cancer of MSU sports. We hired an aggressive AD that wanted to win championships at MSU. We then elected a President that actually understands how important athetics are to the university. When Byrne left, we hired Scott and he looks to be doing as well as or BETTER than Greg Byrne. Mullen will win every year from now on at State and when he does leave, there will be a list to choose from to replace him. That's just a fact that kills the rebels/bears.

  • Why would Mullen leave since he is already making as much as Nutt and coaches circles around the fools in Oxfart.....now I agree the prospects for Mullen's future is a whole hell alot better than Nutt's!

  • stepping stone to say.... Michigan? nope. Minnesota? nope. Miami? nope, nope, nope. So, our coach is in demand and everyone wants him and TSUN's coach got fired from his last job and no one will take him. And that's bad news for State????

    Let's make a deal: You keep Nutt. We'll keep Dan. You can continue to laugh about everyone wanting our coach, and we'll continue to skull drag you every November.

    I am happy for Vandy though. For so long they were the doormat of the SEC, but since they stepped it up last season and won 2 games (including that one against TSUN), I'd have to give that honor to the bears. Hasn't Vandy won during their last two trips to Oxford???? Pitiful...

    This is what those people and the rest of the conference don't seem to understand. We are picking it up a notch and do not plan on regressing.

  • At Dawg's Talk last night, Dan was specifically asked about "other positions," and admitted that he had been called about "several," but told a funny story about being sick in bed watching ESPN with Megan and her quipping, "well, you were just seen at the airport in Miami, or....". He said he has a great job, coaches in the SECW, the best conference in the country, and both he and Megan love it here. He says he just isn't interested in moving, that he loved the school, loves the kids, and plans to stay.

    As an aside, I was sitting about 6 feet in front of him, and Mac Moody and I asked if Megan made it to Pittsburgh for her grandma's funeral, and he said yes.

    So from your pure and unfiltered perspective, he's good enough to be hired away but can't possibly field a winning team at Mississippi State in 2012 ???

  • This guy is talking about programs that won't be competitive for several years. WOW!!! He should check out the thread about OM's schedule next year. He does realize that they will be playing 9 or 10 top 25 teams next year. Oh yeah, he forgot to talk about how his team has no depth and most likely won't have depth or much experience for the next several years. Good luck with that one brother bear. After next season, you guys will probably be riding a streak of 3 straight seasons of 4 wins or less. You guys are stuck with Nutt and his sorry losing ways.

    Oh yeah, I forgot to add that most of our key players from a 9+ win bowl season still have 2-3 years of eligibility left. You think they are suddenly going to forget how to play football.
