I think the investigation part is over with and I've heard MSU likely knows its penalties in late December. It is still expected to be minor penalties for the program with Redmond likely sitting a few games next year.

"sitting a few games next year"...? Heck, he has sat out this entire season. That should have been the penalty for him in sitting out. I hope he is able to play next season.

He is being redshirted right now, not punished, There is a difference. You cant use a redshirt season to take away any possible games suspended.
