Andre Applewhite's patient approach to his recruitment came to an end on Thursday. That meant good news for MSU basketball with the signing of the Memphis Central guard.

I like Coach R.R.'s style and approach to recruiting. Not to mention some much needed blue collar players willing to work hard for MSU

He is a very polite and humble kid as is Jacoby Davis and that is what Ive learned in the short time talking to both of them. Good to hear kids saying they "have to earn playing time" and work hard for it as we hear with football recruits a lot. Again, two solid pickups for Ray in this time of the year.

Don't let the lack of high-major offers fool you because this kid can play. He is tough, smart, and a coach's son, so he understands the game. Plus, it is great to see that Coach Ray has already made inroads into Memphis. That is an area where we have lacked in recruiting and there are always a number of great players coming out of the city.

This kid is very good. A tough kid that can get to the rim and defend. Huge pickup IMO
