2013 MSU commit Chris Jones helped Houston (Miss.) win its first-ever playoff game

Starkville (8-3) 21, Neshoba Central 10 - Starkville QB Gabe Myles was 3-of-13 passing for nine yards with two interceptions, rushed 10 times for 101 yards and two touchdowns; season stats: 63-of-136 passing for 620 yards with seven touchdowns and three interceptions, and has 85 rushes for 328 yards and six touchdowns.

Bogue Chitto (11-0) 32, Dexter 12 - Bogue Chitto QB/WR/DB Brandon Wells had five rushes for 48 yards and injured his knee in the second quarter and didn't return. He will have an MRI done on Monday and hope that it's just a strained MCL or a bruised knee; season stats: 108 carries for 1,072 yards and eight touchdowns, seven receptions for 126 yards and two touchdowns, 6-of-9 passing for 60 yards with one touchdown, and 17 tackles and one interception on defense.

Gulfport 22, Biloxi (6-4) 20 - Biloxi WR Scott Austin had six catches for 91 yards and one touchdown; season stats: 44 catches for 713 yards and six touchdowns, one rush for 14 yards and one kickoff return for 50 yards.

Gadsden City, Ala. (6-4) 27, Hewitt-Trussville, Ala. 21 - Gadsden City WR B.J. Hammond had one catch for nine yards; season stats: 13 catches for 249 yards and two touchdowns, two punt returns for 15 yards.

Spain Park, Ala. 20, Oxford, Ala. (6-4) 6 - Oxford DE Trent Simpson; season stats: 49 tackles (29 solos), 18.5 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, nine quarterback hurries, one fumble recovery and one forced fumble; Oxford DE/OT Ulric Jones stats to be updated after film study; season stats: 27 tackles (11 solos), four tackles for loss, one interception, one PBU and two qb hurries.

McAdory, Ala. (10-0) 40, Woodlawn, Ala. 29 - McAdory QB Dezmond Harris out for the season with torn ACL.

Catholic, La., 26 Dutchtown, La., (7-2) 21 - Dutchtown, La. WR Shelby Christy had four catches for 67 yards and also had 51 yard touchdown catch called back; season stats: 31 catches for 508 yards and four touchdowns.

Manatee, Fla. (9-0) 51, Sarasota, Fla. 9 - Manatee QB Cord Sandberg was 13-of-19 for 210 yards with three touchdowns, rushed 6 times for 49 yards; season stats: 122-of-170 for 1,721 yards with 23 touchdowns and one interception, and has 78 rushes for 487 yards and eight touchdowns.

Houston (10-2) 26, Amory 24 in opening round of Class 4A playoffs - Houston DL Chris Jones had nine tackles (five solos) with five tackles for loss, two sacks, seven quarterback hurries and one PBU; season stats: 128 tackles (58 solos), 42 tackles for loss, 13 sacks, 43 quarterback hurries, seven PBUs, two fumble recoveries and one fumble forced.

West Bolivar (10-2) 49, Okolona 36 in opening round of Class 2A playoffs - West Bolivar RB Kailo Moore rushed 13 times for 158 yards and two touchdowns and had one interception on defense; season stats: 114 carries for 837 yards and 12 touchdowns, and four receptions for 79 yards and one touchdown. Also has three interceptions on defense.

Bruce 47, Hollandale Simmons (4-7) 14 in opening round of Class 2A playoffs - Hollandale Simmons OL Kent Flowers.

Jackson Academy (11-1) 40, Presbyterian Christian 32 in opening round of Academy AAA, Division I playoffs- Jackson Academy OL Jamaal Clayborn.

Copiah-Lincoln Community College (8-1) at East Mississippi Community College in first round of MACJC playoffs on Saturday - Copiah-Lincoln WR/KR DeVante Scott out for rest of the season with knee injury; season stats: 15 catches for 176 yards and two touchdowns, eight kickoff returns for 172 yards and seven punt returns for 61 yards.

Tylertown (10-1) 42, Port Gibson 18 in opening round of Class 4A playoffs - Tylertown QB Tyre'oune Holmes rushed 10 times for 56 yards and one touchdown, completed 3-of-5 for 141 yards and one touchdown; season stats: 27-of-47 passing for 537 yards with five touchdowns and four interceptions, 80 carries for 1,044 yards and 18 touchdowns.
